Tech Rally Propels US Stocks

Tech sector rallies, driving markets to new highs; Powell’s optimism and strong earnings bolster investor confidence.

The US stock market celebrated a tech-driven rally, propelling major indices to new highs. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s positive economic outlook fueled this surge, describing the US economy as ‘remarkably strong.’ The tech sector stood out, with strong earnings reports further boosting investor confidence.

Tech Titans Soar

Amazon (AMZN) and Apple (AAPL) recently achieved remarkable milestones. The largest online retailer and technology provider reached an unprecedented intraday peak on Wednesday, while Apple also set new intraday records. Adding to the optimism, Nvidia (NVDA), the global leader in AI processors, posted significant gains, nearing its all-time high and underscoring the strong momentum in the tech sector.

Salesforce and Marvell Post Strong Gains

Salesforce (CRM) saw its stock surge by 9.70% for the week, fueled by quarterly earnings that exceeded expectations and reinforced confidence in its growing AI offerings. Likewise, Marvell Technology (MRVL) experienced a remarkable 22.46% jump, closing at a record high following a strong Q3 report. The company’s optimistic revenue outlook for the fourth quarter further highlighted the tech sector’s robust financial health.

Information Tech ETF Momentum

Information Technology ETFs posted a notable 4.55% gain last week, highlighting an impressive year-to-date performance of +44.95%. The TD Global Technology Leaders Index ETF (TEC) and the First Trust Nasdaq Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR) led the momentum, and rose 5.17% and 4.73%, respectively.
