Latest ETF Launches
BMO Introduces Canada's First Single-Stock Autocallable Income ETFs
BMO Asset Management launched three ETFs on Cboe Canada, introducing single-stock autocallable income strategies linked to major U.S. technology companies. The BMO Autocallable Income NVIDIA (NVDA) ETF – Series 1 (NVIA), BMO Autocallable Income Palantir (PLTR) ETF – Series 1 (PLTA), and BMO Autocallable Income Tesla (TSLA) ETF – Series 1 (TESA) seek to generate potential monthly cash flow through derivative-based autocallable transactions linked to their respective stocks. Each fund offers a degree of downside protection and has a scheduled maturity approximately three and a half years after launch, although early termination is possible. The strategies provide an alternative risk-return profile to direct stock ownership, with upside participation shaped by the autocallable structure and continued exposure to potential losses.
Scotia Expands ETF Lineup With Seven Systematic and Asset Allocation Funds
Scotia Global Asset Management launched four all-in-one asset allocation ETFs offering diversified portfolios across different risk profiles. The Scotia Conservative ETF (SBCN) targets 40% equities and 60% fixed income, the Scotia Balanced ETF (SBBA) targets a 60/40 allocation, the Scotia Growth ETF (SBGR) allocates 80% to equities, and the Scotia All-Equity ETF (SBEQ) provides full equity exposure. The funds primarily invest in Scotia Index Tracker ETFs, with management fees waived and certain expenses absorbed through October 31, 2027, targeting a 0.00% management expense ratio during the promotional period. Standard management fees of 0.15% will apply thereafter.
Scotia also expanded its Dynamic Funds lineup with three actively managed systematic equity strategies. The Dynamic Systematic Canadian Equity ETF (DSCA), Dynamic Systematic U.S. Equity ETF (DSAM), and Dynamic Systematic International Equity ETF (DSIT) target large-cap stocks across their respective markets using quantitative, multifactor investment approaches. Hillsdale Investment Management serves as sub-adviser for DSCA and DSAM, while State Street Global Advisors manages DSIT. The launches expand Scotia's active equity offering beyond traditional fundamental stock selection.
Lysander and Mackenzie Expand Canadian and Emerging Markets Equity Exposure
Lysander Funds launched an ETF series of the Lysander-Triasima Canadian Equity Fund (LTCE) on October 26, providing exchange-traded access to an existing actively managed Canadian equity strategy.
Managed by Triasima Portfolio Management, the fund seeks long-term capital appreciation through investments primarily in mid- and large-cap Canadian companies. The ETF series complements the fund's existing Series A, F, and O mutual fund units, offering investors an alternative way to access the same underlying investment strategy.
Mackenzie Investments launched the Mackenzie Modus Emerging Markets Equity ETF (MMEM), extending its systematic ETF lineup to four funds. Managed by the Mackenzie Multi-Asset Strategies Team, MMEM invests primarily in mid- and large-cap emerging market equities using a rules-based approach incorporating value, momentum, quality, and low-volatility factors. The strategy seeks to control unintended size, liquidity, country, and sector exposures. The launch follows three Modus ETFs introduced earlier in October, covering global equities, international equities, and global small- and mid-cap stocks.
ETF Filings
Evolve Files Two Dividend-Focused Asset Allocation ETFs
Evolve Funds Group filed a preliminary prospectus for two all-in-one dividend ETFs, marking its proposed entry into Canada's asset allocation ETF market. The Evolve All-Equity Dividend ETF Portfolio (EEQT) would invest primarily in global dividend-paying equities, targeting recurring income and long-term capital appreciation. The Evolve Balanced Dividend ETF Portfolio (EBAL) would combine dividend-paying global equities with income-generating fixed-income securities to provide diversified multi-asset exposure.

Manulife Adds ETF-Based Mutual Fund Portfolios
Manulife Investments launched four mutual funds, including three ETF-based portfolio solutions: the Manulife Smart Global Dividend ETF Portfolio Fund, Manulife All-Equity ETF Portfolio Fund, and Manulife All-Fixed Income ETF Portfolio Fund.
