Harvest ETFs, a leader in income-focused and thematic investing, has expanded its lineup with the launch of two new Bitcoin-linked ETFs: Harvest Bitcoin Leaders Enhanced Income ETF (HBIX) and Harvest Bitcoin Enhanced Income ETF (HBTE). Debuting on April 30, 2025, these ETFs offer investors diversified exposure to Bitcoin and the crypto ecosystem while incorporating modest leverage and covered call strategies to generate high monthly income.

As institutional and retail interest in Bitcoin continues to rise, HBIX and HBTE provide structured, income-generating solutions for investors seeking both capital appreciation and cash flow in the evolving digital asset space.

How These ETFs Work

Harvest ETFs has designed HBIX and HBTE to cater to investors who want exposure to Bitcoin and crypto-related equities while mitigating volatility and enhancing returns through active income strategies:

  • Harvest Bitcoin Leaders Enhanced Income ETF (HBIX): This ETF provides leveraged exposure to Bitcoin price movements by investing in a portfolio of Bitcoin ETFs while utilizing a covered call strategy to generate high monthly cash distributions.
  • Harvest Bitcoin Enhanced Income ETF (HBTE): HBTE offers exposure to a diversified portfolio of companies engaged in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency infrastructure, including mining, exchanges, and blockchain services. The ETF employs a covered call overlay on up to 50% of the portfolio to reduce volatility and enhance income potential.

Both ETFs strategically integrate leverage to enhance exposure while balancing risk through options-based income generation, providing a structured approach to investing in Bitcoin and the crypto market.

Why Investors Should Consider These ETFs

HBIX and HBTE introduce a differentiated approach to Bitcoin investing, combining growth potential with income generation. Here’s why these ETFs stand out:

  1. Bitcoin Exposure with Income Potential – HBIX and HBTE allow investors to participate in Bitcoin’s long-term appreciation potential while generating monthly cash distributions.
  2. Volatility Management Through Covered Calls – By writing covered call options, the ETFs aim to reduce downside risk while maintaining participation in Bitcoin’s growth.
  3. Modest Leverage for Enhanced Returns – Both funds utilize controlled leverage to amplify exposure while employing risk management strategies to balance volatility.
  4. Institutional-Quality Crypto Access – Unlike direct Bitcoin investments, these ETFs provide a professionally managed structure, eliminating the complexities of crypto custody and security risks.

Michael Kovacs, President and CEO of Harvest ETFs, emphasized the significance of these launches:

"Harvest is pleased to initiate offerings with Crypto exposure with these two innovative ETFs. We believe that Bitcoin offers a unique growth profile as demand for this digital asset continues to grow while long-term supply is limited."
