Middlefield Limited, the manager of Middlefield Innovation Dividend ETF (MINN), the best performing ETF for Canadian investors per Morningstar, has announced its decision to transfer MINN’s primary listing from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) to Cboe Canada Inc. on April 8, 2025. Importantly, MINN’s ticker symbol will remain unchanged, and no action is required from unitholders, as the fund’s holdings and trading activities will continue without disruption.

How This ETF Works

MINN follows a focused, rules-based investment strategy that identifies global companies engaged in the development and commercialization of technological products or services. Unlike many tech funds that prioritize high-growth startups, MINN targets companies that have established themselves in the market and consistently return capital to shareholders through dividends.

By prioritizing dividend-paying firms, MINN provides a blend of innovation and income generation, helping to smooth out volatility while still benefiting from the expansion of technology-driven industries. The fund offers exposure to companies across various sectors, including AI, cloud computing, software development, and digital infrastructure.

Why Investors Should Consider This ETF

Technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace, and while the potential for growth is enormous, not all companies will thrive in the long run. MINN provides a strategic approach to tech investing by focusing on financially stable businesses that are best positioned for long-term success. Key advantages include:

  • Exposure to innovative industries while reducing risk through dividend-paying stocks.
  • A disciplined investment approach that prioritizes companies with strong balance sheets and earnings growth.
  • Reduced volatility compared to traditional tech funds, making it suitable for long-term investors.
  • Global diversification across multiple sectors within the technology space.

With MINN, investors can participate in the evolution of technology while maintaining stability and income generation in their portfolios.
